Unsure

As I sit here at Lux, one of my favorite Phoenix coffee shops, I ponder the wonders of the world we live in. Have you ever just taken time to look around? We live in an interesting place.

I'm typing and I can sense people staring over my shoulder, trying to get a glance at what I'm type or what I'm doing on the computer. Little do they know that I'm just writing some pointless blog. But maybe they think I'm some powerful investment banker and I'm doing important research.

One of their eyes catch the graphic at the top of my page. It is a real estate promo for property in South Dakota. Little do they know that it's one of the bogus banner ads. I'm certainly not an investment banker, and if I was, the ad he saw was not of my work, but simply a dreaded banner ad.

The eavesdropper leaves the cafe and calls his real estate friend, Albert, and says, "Hey man, I want to get into the Aberdeen, South Dakota market!" Albert is confused, knowing that the Aberdeen market is not known for large profits, or really, any profits at all. He tries to talk some sense into his friend, but the eavesdropper claims he has received an "inside tip" and that something big is about hit.

After much persuasion, Al (the real estate friend) is convinced and decides to move forward for this friend. After all, it was not his money. Maybe his friend, Jim, is right and South Dakota is going to be the next Manhattan.

Albert cancels his morning meetings and jumps on a plane for South Dakota. On the plane he meets this wonderful woman named Wilma. She is traveling home for a business trip. The discuss real estate and fall deeply in love.

Blinded by love, Albert abandons his previous life and marries Wilma and resettles in South Dakota.

Wow, and all of that because of a banner ad.
