This is what I dream of
This is what I dream of
Lost in sleep,
I think of what could be.
Wandering not of neverland,
But of days that seem right
I ponder seasons without famine
But plenty on each plate
Of skies filled with dark clouds
Rain pouring on ready fields
I wonder of complete vows
Grace for life long relationships.
Children running through green fields,
Clothes stained with adventures untold.
Can I imagine a day without violence?
That life be shown it’s true value.
Love not associated with condition,
But given without stipulation.
I hope for innate justice
To permeate the fabric of culture
Our thoughts would soak in mercy
And not with revenge or shifty ideas
Are my thoughts just wild ambition?
Will I be laughed off the stage?
I’m not worried about the perceptions
For someone higher is the author of these dreams
