Lovely Unfair
My logical mind, it struggles
To process such events in this world
What should be clear and straight
Appears far too cloudy
Corrupt deeds go unnoticed
Technicalities allow deceit to run free
Honest is punished with contempt
And media is not interested in fact
Criminals go on holiday
Families struggle with basics
Politicians debate definitions and theory
Genocide continues without a hitch
I shake in frustration
Blood is on the streets
No one seems to mind
All of this, unfair
In epiphany, I recall Your global view
Nothing is hidden from you
Intentions and motives are clear
There is no doubt in Your lovely judgment
Clever methods of man
Do not baffle your perspective.
You see through the smokescreen
Right to the heart of the issue
You hear the cries of the oppressed
The mercenaries will get their due reward
Justice may not shine at the moment
But there will be day when it’s glow will blind all man.
For a moment I am fearful,
This judgment is also for my life
Although I am not guilty of crimes against humanity
I’m guilty enough I’m sure
And at the cross is where I see it
Lovely unfair
All that seek and believe
Have the blood wasted from their hands
