entering into that season once again

As the last few moments of thanksgiving ticked away . . . . you could just feel it.

No, I am not talking about the fullness in your stomach as you realize you ate way too much.

I'm not referring to the chaotic feeling of college football as the nation watched the top two teams (LSU and Kansas) in the nation get beat in the second to final week in college football.

The feeling that I'm referring to is the dire pleading of retailers itching for Americans to get out and start shopping at 4AM to get early morning deals. They are desperate. You look through the newspaper and you see a "John Grisham novel's worth of stores ads attached to the pop-culture news.

It is Capitalism . . . . I mean, Christmas season. We all love these season, but there is also something very stressful and broken about this time of the important celebration.

From some reason, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a poor Jewish carpenter, by going to Best Buy at 4AM and buying the latest gaming system. Or maybe we celebrate with eggnog.

Does this make sense?

stay tuned for more Christmas thoughts . . . . .
